I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I bring over a decade of experience in health care in different specialties including perioperative, orthopedic, trauma, critical care, and lastly, in the psychiatry field in which I have a passion for helping all individuals to function in their optimum mental capacity I have experience in children and adult inpatient care and outpatient treatment. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Southwestern Adventist University in Texas and have worked in various Level One hospitals since. While attending Graduate School at Walden University, I have worked and volunteered in various inpatient and outpatient psychiatric centers in the state of Texas
My focus is on the treatment of mood disorders, trauma, psychotic disorders, and chronic mental illness through psychiatric assessment, medication management, and brief psychotherapeutic intervention for all patients across the lifespan. I believe in creating an individualized plan of care that values client involvement, interprofessional collaboration, and evidence-based practice. My goal for my clients is to feel empowered to treat their illnesses through supportive education in a stigma-free environment.
